1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to data processing involved when you use the App. Third-party services integrated into the App (such as Google AdMob, Google Play Billing, and Google Drive) process data under their own privacy policies.

2. Data Stored on Your Device

The App's core function (calculation) runs entirely on your device. The following data is stored only in your device's local storage and is not accessible to us:

• Calculation history.
• Your preferences (theme, button colors, language, sound settings, etc.).
• Sound files you record or import (see Section 3).

You can clear history in the App at any time, or delete all local data by uninstalling.

3. Microphone & Custom Sounds

Calculator Band offers custom key sounds. When you use the recording feature, the App requests microphone permission and activates the microphone only while you are actively recording. We never record in the background.

Recorded or imported sound files are stored only on your device (and, if you enable account binding, backed up to your own Google Drive — see Section 8). They are never uploaded to our servers; we cannot access, listen to, or use them. You may deny or revoke microphone permission at any time; this only affects the recording feature.

4. Data We May Collect

Depending on your usage, the following may be processed:

• Device & technical info: model, OS version, App version, IP address, advertising ID — mainly collected by third-party services such as ads.
• Usage & diagnostics: crash reports, performance data, ad interactions.
• Google account info: when you actively use account binding, we receive your display name and email, used only to show binding status and provide backup.
• Purchase info: Premium+ transactions are handled by Google Play Billing. We only receive purchase status, never your card or financial details.
• Contact data you provide when emailing us.

5. Purpose of Use

We process data only to: provide, maintain and improve the App; show and measure ads in the free version; verify Premium+ status; troubleshoot and diagnose; reply to inquiries; and fulfill legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data.

6. Third-Party Services

The App uses:

• Google AdMob (ads, free version only)
• Google Play Billing (in-app purchases)
• Google Sign-In & Google Drive API (account binding & backup)

7. Advertising

The free version shows banner and interstitial ads via Google AdMob. Upgrading to Premium+ removes all ads. You can manage ad personalization or reset your advertising ID in your device or Google account settings.

8. Account Binding & Cloud Backup

Account binding is optional. When enabled, your history, preferences and custom sounds are backed up to your own Google Drive app data folder (appDataFolder), accessible only by this App. Backups never pass through or reside on our servers.

You may unbind at any time in Settings; the App then stops accessing your Drive. Existing backups can be deleted by you via "Manage app data" in your Google account settings.

9. Retention & Deletion

Local data is fully under your control — clear it in-app or uninstall. Cloud backups live in your own Drive and are managed by you. Data collected by third-party services is retained under their respective policies.

10. Security

We take reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect data. However, no transmission or storage method is absolutely secure; please safeguard your device and Google account.

11. Children's Privacy

The App is a general-purpose calculator suitable for all ages, but is not designed specifically for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect children's personal data. If you are a guardian and believe a child has provided personal data without consent, please contact us.

12. Your Rights

Under Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act, with respect to personal data we actually hold (for example, contact details you provide by email), you may: inquire or request review, request a copy, request supplementation or correction, request cessation of collection/processing/use, and request deletion. Please exercise these rights via the contact information in Section 17; we will respond within a reasonable period.

13. In-App Purchases & Refunds

Premium+ is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Google Play Billing. Prices are as shown on the store page and may vary by region and exchange rate. Refunds follow Google Play's refund policy.

14. Intellectual Property

The App's interface design, icons, animations, built-in sounds and code are protected by copyright and related laws; reproduction, distribution or adaptation without authorization is prohibited. Sounds you record yourself belong to you; please make sure recorded or imported content does not infringe others' rights (such as music copyright) — related legal responsibility rests with the user.

15. Disclaimer

Calculation results are for reference only. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any direct or indirect damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the App — including but not limited to decisions made based on calculation results.

16. Amendments & Governing Law

We may revise this page at any time; revisions take effect upon publication, with the "Last Updated" date refreshed, and material changes will be notified in an appropriate manner. This policy and these terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan), with the Taiwan Hsinchu District Court as the court of first instance.
