1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to data processing involved when you use the App. Third-party services integrated into the App (such as Google AdMob, Google Play Billing, and Google Drive) process data under their own privacy policies.

2. Data Stored on Your Device

The App's core function (calculation) runs entirely on your device. The following data is stored only in your device's local storage and is not accessible to us:

• Calculation history.
• Your preferences (theme, button colors, language, sound settings, etc.).
• Sound files you record or import (see Section 3).

You can clear history in the App at any time, or delete all local data by uninstalling.

3. Microphone & Custom Sounds

Calculator Band offers custom key sounds. When you use the recording feature, the App requests microphone permission and activates the microphone only while you are actively recording. We never record in the background.

Recorded or imported sound files are stored only on your device (and, if you enable account binding, backed up to your own Google Drive — see Section 8). They are never uploaded to our servers; we cannot access, listen to, or use them. You may deny or revoke microphone permission at any time; this only affects the recording feature.

4. Data We May Collect

Depending on your usage, the following may be processed:

• Device & technical info: model, OS version, App version, IP address, advertising ID — mainly collected by third-party services such as ads.
• Usage & diagnostics: crash reports, performance data, ad interactions.
• Google account info: when you actively use account binding, we receive your display name and email, used only to show binding status and provide backup.
• Purchase info: Premium+ transactions are handled by Google Play Billing. We only receive purchase status, never your card or financial details.
• Contact data you provide when emailing us.

5. Purpose of Use

We process data only to: provide, maintain and improve the App; show and measure ads in the free version; verify Premium+ status; troubleshoot and diagnose; reply to inquiries; and fulfill legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data.

6. Third-Party Services

The App uses:

• Google AdMob (ads, free version only)
• Google Play Billing (in-app purchases)
• Google Sign-In & Google Drive API (account binding & backup)

These services may collect IP addresses, device identifiers and interaction data. Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

7. Advertising

The free version shows banner and interstitial ads via Google AdMob. Upgrading to Premium+ removes all ads. You can manage ad personalization or reset your advertising ID in your device or Google account settings.

8. Account Binding & Cloud Backup

Account binding is optional. When enabled, your history, preferences and custom sounds are backed up to your own Google Drive app data folder (appDataFolder), accessible only by this App. Backups never pass through or reside on our servers.

You may unbind at any time in Settings; the App then stops accessing your Drive. Existing backups can be deleted by you via "Manage app data" in your Google account settings.

9. Retention & Deletion

Local data is fully under your control — clear it in-app or uninstall. Cloud backups live in your own Drive and are managed by you. Data collected by third-party services is retained under their respective policies.

10. Security

We take reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect data. However, no transmission or storage method is absolutely secure; please safeguard your device and Google account.

11. Children's Privacy

The App is a general-purpose calculator suitable for all ages, but is not designed specifically for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect children's personal data. If you are a guardian and believe a child has provided personal data without consent, please contact us.

12. Your Rights

Under Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act, with respect to personal data we actually hold (for example, contact details you provide by email), you may: inquire or request review, request a copy, request supplementation or correction, request cessation of collection/processing/use, and request deletion. Please exercise these rights via the contact information in Section 17; we will respond within a reasonable period.

13. In-App Purchases & Refunds

Premium+ is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Google Play Billing. Prices are as shown on the store page and may vary by region and exchange rate. Refunds follow Google Play's refund policy.

14. Intellectual Property

The App's interface design, icons, animations, built-in sounds and code are protected by copyright and related laws; reproduction, distribution or adaptation without authorization is prohibited. Sounds you record yourself belong to you; please make sure recorded or imported content does not infringe others' rights (such as music copyright) — related legal responsibility rests with the user.

15. Disclaimer

Calculation results are for reference only. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any direct or indirect damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the App — including but not limited to decisions made based on calculation results.

16. Amendments & Governing Law

We may revise this page at any time; revisions take effect upon publication, with the "Last Updated" date refreshed, and material changes will be notified in an appropriate manner. This policy and these terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan), with the Taiwan Hsinchu District Court as the court of first instance.

1. Account and cloud features

Shuttle lookup does not require sign-in. Optional Google sign-in uses Firebase Authentication to process your email, display name, UID and authentication information. Cloud features may store your nickname, optional birthday, game scores and achievements, character interactions and dialogue, room layout, furniture, virtual assets and statistics. Student IDs, selected avatar photos and GPS coordinates are excluded from TsingBUS cloud saves. We do not receive your Google password or card number.

2. Purchases and public features

Google Play Billing handles VIP, furniture and ticket purchases. Our backend processes account-linked product IDs, purchase verification identifiers/tokens or hashes, fulfillment/refund status and virtual-asset ledgers for verification, restoration and fraud prevention. Gacha tickets can yield random virtual rewards. Virtual assets cannot be cashed out. Optional leaderboard submissions display nickname, score, mode and submission time; the backend processes UID and anti-cheat records. Reports and related account/time information are reviewed by the developer; report notifications may be sent to the developer by email.

3. Permissions and third-party services

Optional GPS is processed on the device to select a nearby stop, not uploaded or continuously tracked in the background. Notifications support enabled shuttle/character reminders. Background music uses a media-playback foreground service. AdMob may process IP-derived approximate location, device/advertising identifiers, interactions and diagnostics for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. Firebase Analytics processes feature/usage events. Firebase Authentication, Firestore and Functions support accounts, cloud saves and entitlements; App Check/Play Integrity support app/device verification. These services may process IP addresses, instance/install identifiers and technical data. Transfers use encrypted connections. We do not sell personal data.

4. Retention and deletion

Account/cloud data is retained while supporting your account and features. Use the in-app account deletion control or our external deletion-request page. Account deletion removes Firebase Auth, user cloud saves/backups, virtual assets and entitlements, user ledgers, leaderboard records and identifiable reporter records. Global purchase verification/deduplication records may retain UID, product and purchase-token hashes for purchase fraud prevention; no automatic expiry is currently implemented. Third-party records follow their own policies. Sign-out/uninstall alone does not delete the cloud account; deleting TsingBUS does not delete your Google account or automatically refund purchases. 5. Timetable Sources & Accuracy

Base schedule data comes from the campus shuttle information published by the university. Arrival times for intermediate stops are estimated by us from stop order and segment travel times; they are not figures published by the university.

Actual departure and arrival times may differ from what the App shows because of traffic, weather, event restrictions, vehicle dispatch, unplanned suspensions, or schedule changes made by the university. Times shown in the App are indicative only. Please allow a reasonable margin when waiting or connecting, and treat conditions on the ground and official university announcements as authoritative.

The App is not affiliated with National Tsing Hua University or its shuttle operators, and the university is not responsible for its contents.

6. Intellectual Property

The App's interface design, route diagrams, illustrations, animations and code are protected by copyright and related laws; reproduction, distribution or adaptation without authorization is prohibited. We claim no rights in the stop names or the schedule information published by the university, but we do hold the corresponding rights in our compilation, estimation and presentation of that data.

7. Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any direct or indirect damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the App — including but not limited to missing a bus, arriving late, or missing a class, meeting or appointment because of a discrepancy in the times shown.

8. Amendments & Governing Law

We may revise this page at any time; revisions take effect upon publication, with the "Last Updated" date refreshed, and material changes will be notified in an appropriate manner.
